Matched Employer-Employee Data: Developments since AKM, October 7-9

Conference on Matched Employer-Employee Data: Developments since AKM

Sandbjerg Manor, Denmark, October 7-9, 2010

Objectives of the Conference

The conference is joint by LMDG (Labour Market Dynamics and Growth) at School of Economics and Management, Aarhus University, and R&D, Industry Dynamics and Public Policy at BI, The Norwegian School of Management. LMDG  is headed by Niels Bohr Visiting Professor, Dale T Mortensen. LMDG has a series of exceptional projects that exploit a very unique data set of matched information on firms and their employees.

Only a few similar data sets are available in other countries. One such data set is the Norwegian data being used by  R&D, Industry Dynamics and Public Policy.

The conference is the most recent in a series of labour market conferences started in 1982.

It is the purpose of the conference to explore the possibilities for use of the matched employer-employee data sets that are becoming available in several countries. By bringing together the group of the world's most prominent labour market economists we will provide a forum to discuss recent advances, theoretical and econometric, within the fields: equilibrium search models of labour market, models of dynamic choice, matching models, assignment models, and microeconomic wage functions.
